A catch-all email mailbox receives messages sent to nonexistent email addresses under the same domain name. For example, an email message sent to the mistyped suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. Thus, you can receive emails from colleagues or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling error or to an out-of-date one, which they may still have, but you have already disabled. Just one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for such a mailbox. The latter is due to the fact that at a certain moment you may begin receiving spam emails in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction implies that the spam will not be redirected to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Web Hosting

Setting up a catch-all e-mailbox will be incredibly easy in case you have a shared web hosting plan with our company. You can activate this feature through our advanced, yet simple-to-use Email Manager tool, which is an integral part of the Hepsia Control Panel, via which you will administer the hosting account itself. You’ll see all the mailboxes that you have created displayed in alphabetical order and on the right-hand side of each one of them there will be a mini "Catch-all" icon, which will instantaneously tell you if a particular mailbox gets all the messages associated with a given domain or not. With one mouse click on the icon you can activate or deactivate the feature at any moment. If there’s enabled email forwarding or if some other mailbox has already been set up as a catch-all one for a particular domain, you’ll receive a warning note from our system. The latter won’t disable/replace anything automatically and without your permission.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The catch-all feature can be activated without difficulty if you’ve got a semi-dedicated server plan with our company. All the email addresses that you’ve created with the domains hosted in the account will be displayed in the Hepsia hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section and you will find a tiny logo conveniently located directly next to each one of them. With only a single click of the mouse, you can activate or deactivate the catch-all option for any mailbox of your choosing as long as there isn't another mailbox under that same domain name with the option already enabled and there isn't enabled email forwarding. Instead, you can right-click on an email address and enable this option through the contextual menu that will appear. In case any of the prerequisites for setting up a catch-all mailbox is not met, our system will let you know, but will not disable or replace anything automatically.
